14 DOWN AND 1 TO GO!!!!

So…..if Bufano wins, Haines loses, Rexrode loses to Thomas and J Wolfe wins, McCain wins and Frey loses, Davidson beats Kimmett and Ricks scores 20 while holding Hitzel to 16, and while Wednesday’s games do or don’t get postponed because of weather aaaaaannnnnndddddd…..A Wolfe forfeits again…..my head will explode!!!!  Let’s just watch and recap later…

While I will make predictions, I will not do the what ifs!!!!  Here we go (BTW the prediction record for the season is 40-14.  Don’t doubt me.

HAINES BUFANO

We open with a classic matchup!!! Bufano (8-6) has won 6 games in a row and look as good as any team in the league.  Haines has lost 2 of 3 seemingly because of the absence of their second leading scorer Nick McGhin.  Both teams at full strength, this game will be epic.  Look for Bufano to win 54-52….maybe overtime.  This one is worth coming out to watch.

OWENS MCCAIN

Owens has been showing some life averaging over 40 points a game for the last three outings.  McCain has won 4 of their last 6 as they tune up for a playoff run.  This game will be close in the first half but McCain will wear down the short handed red squad and win by 14.

FORBES HILLMAN

Hillman has won 7 in a row after surviving overtime against Kimmett to lock up the #2 seed.  Forbes has lost 3 of 4 and is literally 4 buckets from a 10-4 record by losing 4 games by a bucket.  Hillman better be careful because these “cardiac kids” can play with anybody.  Pick Forbes in an upset 42-40.

COELHO J WOLFE

J Wolfe won an impressive 2-0 forfeit on Saturday over brother “A” to claim the Basta Pasta gift card in the “Brother’s Faceoff”.  Coelho needs a win to definitely avoid a “play in” game.  I like Wolfe in a by 10, just because they have fresh legs.

A WOLFE HEARN

Both teams are shorthanded but Hearn is struggling to generate any offense.  Pick A Wolfe by 15.

DAVIDSON KIMMETT

The top scorer in the league, Charlie Hitzel (20.54) faces off against the #2 scorer in the league, Jackson Ricks (20.30) in a game with huge playoff implications and individual accomplishments at stake.  I tried to do the math on what it will take to win the coveted scoring title but got a headache and had to lay down.  Figure it out for yourself!!!!   Anyway, I like Kimmett in a close one 55-51.

BOLSTER BROWN

Some say that the best thing that could have happened to Brown was losing to Rexrode on Saturday.  There are other things that could be better…winning the lottery, the Eagles losing the Super Bowl, world peace, baseball season starting…..so losing that game comes in 5th in my mind.  Look for Brown to regain momentum winning easily 55-40.

THOMAS REXRODE

Big game….Huge game.  The #3 seed is on the line here.  The loser could fall to #6.  Rexrode has won 2 in a row including the upset win over previously unbeaten Brown while Thomas has won 3 of 4 to move into a tie for 3rd.  Two high powered offenses will make for a great game.  I like Rexrode in a barn burner 58-55.

FREY SMITH

At full strength, Frey can play with anybody in this league while Smith has lost 3 in a row by 2 points.  The fact that they need a win to possibly avoid the playin games makes them dangerous.  Look for Smith to finally finish one 46-43.
