HILLMAN VS REXRODE & FREY VS HAINES IN THE FINAL 4

It was a wild night at St Stephen’s Field House Wednesday night and when the dust settled, we have our Final 4.

To be open and clear about what happened at the 7 PM game, the coach for Thomas made an honest playing time mistake that lead to a technical forfeit.  The game was close and well played by both teams…either could have/should have won and both are deserving of a spot in the Final 4.

Our league and all of Freedom Basketball is built on the idea that we are a participation league that spreads playing time evenly.  The playing time rules were not properly followed and that always results in a forfeit.  It is also very important to understand that this does not diminish efforts by individual players and coaches.  The final score will be recorded Haines 46 Thomas 45.

In the first game, 8 seed Frey upset top seed Brown 31-28 on a buzzer beater.

Hillman smoked Kimmett 47-26 to earn a 9:00 PM date with Rexrode, winners over Davidson 47-36.
